These three illustrations explore the relationship between Azerbaijani cultural identity and architecture through the integration of traditional motifs with iconic buildings in Baku. Inspired by the fluid form of the Heydar Aliyev Center, the monumentality of Government House, and the symbolic rolled-carpet structure of the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum, the works combine architectural forms with traditional patterns to create a dialogue between heritage and contemporary design. Through layering motifs onto each structure, the illustrations examine how cultural identity can continue to exist and evolve within modern architectural spaces.
